Caserecce Cappelli are obtained from Senatore Cappelli durum wheat flour, a wheat selected in 1915 by the agronomist Nazareno Strampelli and grown in the heart of Salento. This variety is dedicated to Senator Raffaele Cappelli, a prominent figure in Italian agricultural history.
