Mediterranean-flavoured sun-dried tomatoes are a product made according to tradition, using an ancient preservation method. The tomatoes, harvested at the right point of ripeness, are cut in half and placed on wooden boards, where they are dried in the sun, without the use of dryers or ovens, to capture all the intensity of the flavor. This natural process allows the flavor of fresh tomatoes to remain unchanged throughout the year. Versatile and tasty, dried tomatoes can be rehydrated in water and added to focaccia, seasoned with extra virgin olive oil to become a delicious side dish, or used to enrich roasts, soups and Mediterranean dishes.
